Selected Kenya MUMWE coffee from the JEDNO KAFE roastery is characterized by tones of tropical fruit, pineapple and red currant.
Kenya is dominated by a cooperative coffee production system and our Mumwe is no exception. It comes from the Othaya Farmers cooperative, which covers a large number of processing stations in various parts of Kenya. Our coffee was processed in the Mahiga processing station, which currently processes coffee from approx. 400 small farmers. The coffee was processed by the traditional washed method. The necessary water for washing and fermentation is then filtered and reused. After peeling the coffee husk, the coffee is fermented overnight, then washed and spread on drying beds. After drying, it is further sorted and is ready for export.
