Gourmet Panama CHOMBI geisha coffee from the Norwegian roastery Coffea Circulor is characterized by tones of mango, milk chocolate, yellow plums and strawberries.
The geisha variety has won many awards for its unique taste in recent years, and this is one of the reasons why it is very popular in the coffee world. In Panama, these award-winning coffees are grown mainly on the eastern slope of Baru Volcano, surrounded by the misty forests of the local national park, in the area known as Callejón Seco. This area is a rich source of volcanic soil, which is more than suitable for growing coffee. The coffee grows here in the shade and after harvesting it is dried on "African beds" for 21 days. The coffee cherries are then placed in a warehouse, where the temperature and humidity are closely monitored and controlled.
