This coffee is nicknamed Chachapoyas, which is also the name of the capital of the Amazon region. Near Chachapoyas is a place called Kuelap, also known as northern Machu Picchu. However, the coffee comes from the districts of Huabal and Chirinos. Local farmers tie the harvested grains to a processing station in Jaen. Each individual batch must undergo a very detailed and rigorous quality analysis. Depending on its results, farmers are offered a good and fair price.
