The Kopakaki-Duteguere cooperative was founded by growers living in the Karongi district near Lake Kivu. Our microlot comes from the hands of 18 farmers from the area of the village of Gitega, and for African conditions it is a truly transparent coffee. Farmers carefully harvest from about 100-150 coffee trees. Fresh cherries are fermented for 10-12 hours in air, then after washing they are dried for 10-15 days on raised beds. Sweet coffee with a delicious profile of marzipan, cream and raisins now comes to your cup.
